What Will You See?
We will feature the beautiful work of Paul DeAngelo who has been
practicing the art of taxidermy for over 26 years, including 19
years working with trout and salmon in New York.
We will be showcasing all five species of Pacific salmon, as well
as other fish common to our local area. We will also
feature Paul's taxidermy skills with wildlife other than fish.
The showroom will be located at Salmon King Lodge, in a dedicated
building that is large enough to warrant the name "showroom".
Please stay tuned here for more information about the showroom,
and the Opening Day announcement.

Paul DeAngelo

Paul is a Connecticut native who was drawn to New York as a
fisherman and taxidermist. Paul relocated his business,
DeAngelo Unlimited, to Oswego County, who's reputation for salmon
fishing is second only to Alaska. He designed a 3,200
square foot studio and work area with bright lighting, and an
exhibit area of mounted fish. He welcomes walk-in visitors
and tourists. He has created a place of inspiration for
both the serious angler, as well as the newcomer to fishing - to
catch their own trophy mount fish.
The Art
Paul prides himself on his attention to detail and quality
mounts. His work is extremely realistic and lifelike.
In addition to preparing angler's trophy mounts, Paul also
creates displays of underwater scenes in dioramas.
His work is displayed throughout the Northeast, and in fact,
across the country. Paul's mounts in their high-action,
anatomical poses have garnered him a reputation, and a following
across the United States. Once you own a Paul DeAngelo
mount, you will want no other. The
Process
Each mount is carefully measured, documented, skinned, and
preserved. Paul uses only the highest quality products and
tools. Each mount is custom painted and detailed for the
most realistic representation based on the documented photos. |
